AP PUBLIC OFFER AND RIGHTS ISSUE 2008
There is good news for investors in the capital market as AP Plc is about to raise funds in the capital market by way of Rights Issue and Public Offer. As a prerequisite to this, The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), on Wednesday, February 20, 2008, placed African Petroleum Plc’s shares on technical suspension in accordance with their regulations.
The Chief Operating Officer Mr. Tunde Falasinnu confirmed that the number of shares to be offered is about 462,000,000 units and over N100,000,000,000 (One Hundred Billion Naira) will be raised. Hopefully, the Offer will commence sometime in the second quarter of the year.
This will be an opportunity for existing shareholders and other members of the public to increase their investment/ invest in AP Plc, a company that is poised to become
a clear leader in the downstream sector of the Nigerian oil and gas industry with the present core investors and Management driving this vision purposefully and successfully.
