AP Plc Raises The Bar,

Bags Iso 9001: 2000 Certification

African Petroleum Plc has recorded another landmark achievement with the endorsement of AP’s high quality products and services by the International Organization for Standardization {ISO}, with the award of the prestigious NIS ISO 9001: 2000 Certification, by the Standards Organization of Nigeria {SON}.

The NIS ISO 9001:2000 Standard is a quality management system that ensures compliance to Procedures and Processes by organizations with quality assurance and consciousness that meet customers’ needs as well as international standards.

In a letter to AP Plc, the DG of SON, Mr. John Akanya stated that African Petroleum Plc’s Blending/Sales of Lubricants and Aviation Fuel “Is hereby adjudged by the Standards Organization of Nigeria to conform to the requirements of NIS ISO 9001:2000 standard. It added that the certification authorizes AP to use SON registration logo on all official documents in this area.

The certification which came after a series of rigorous pre-assessment and final audit exercise of all AP’s installations, depots and offices nationwide by a team of Auditors from the Standards Organization of Nigeria, is another initiative by AP’s Board and Management at ensuring the provision of high quality products and services to customers using industry best practices, while conforming to the requirements of NIS ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Management Standard in all processes.

This well deserved achievement, further underscores AP’s commitment to its Corporate Quality Policy and Mission statement, which demonstrates the resolve by the Board and Management to deploy the appropriate Processes, Human and Material resources towards continuous improvement on its Processes, to ensure provision of high quality products and services towards superior customers satisfaction.

Also, at AP, Health, Safety and Environment for staff and stakeholders at work are given priority. AP’s SuperV and Visco 2000 are formulated in the British Petroleum’s {BP’s} tradition using the highest quality base oils and carefully selected advanced additives with due consideration to environmental protection.

It is important to note that this feat is a sign of good things to come to AP Stakeholders’ this year.
